Roly came into Hope’s care with his mother Dotty. Both dogs are on foster in the same home and now that their assessment period is up we feel that it is in their best interests to be rehomed separately. He is currently on foster in Ledbury, Herefordshire.
Roly is a friendly, loveable boy. He is fully housetrained and walks well on the lead. Roly is great with cats and all the other animals he has met.
Roly does get a little upset when he is left alone. However his foster home have worked hard with him and this is now improving and he has been left for 3 hours with no problems. Roly has met toddlers and teenagers and was very good with them
Roly would prefer human company most of the day, but he can be left for a short time if he’s well exercised. Roly has lots of energy, he really enjoys going out for walks, he is great on and off lead. He is a little nervous initially, but is an easy-going dog who could fit into most situations.
Roly will need calm, consistent owners to make him feel secure in his new home. Roly loves his cuddles. It would be difficult for Roly to live in a house where he wasn’t allowed on the sofa at the end of a busy day – he gives the best cuddles and does like to be close to people all the time. Roly will follow his new people around the house, he is a bit clingy, so he needs someone who wont mind him doing this. This will improve as he relaxes and learns that he is home for good.
Roly is quite clever, a home where he will learn new tricks would be great.
Roly will need to go to a dog groomer regularly, his ears need to be kept clean and his toe nails kept neat. He doesn’t moult and he’s hypo-allergenic!
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from http://www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
