Homing Requirements: Sam deserves a terrier aware family who can ensure that Sam is managed safely with a secure garden and exit management. Sam is concerned meeting strangers/visitors but introducing through his tennis ball helps build trust. Sam has lived with another dog. Cat are fun he chases! Sam is noise sensitive, sensitive and a tad nervous so needs a quiet home and reassuring owners. His Story: Sam moved in with his owner’s parents & their Labrador, they down scaled, so moved in with his owner’s brother and his young children but this was not ideal for Sam so he came into rescue and is now in boarding kennels near Gatwick, West Sussex. Sam is neutered, chipped and vax’d.
Advert: Sam is a fun Jack Russell. He grew up as an only dog then lived with a Labrador. He is a happy chappie who enjoys his 2 meals a day. Sam can be left for up to 5 hours. Terrier lovers will know how to respect him and his space. Sam wants to please, adores his known friends & family and is just concerned about gushing strangers! Once he relaxes all is well. Sam is off lead outside once bonded and connects in to fetch if needed. Travels well.
Sam is just 6 years old and a busy rough coated Jack Russell. Sam is definitely terrier and needs a family who will delight in his character. He is alert, doesn’t like to be crowded by strangers, adores his tennis ball game of fetch and mixes well with his family but gets flustered by bikes and cars passing by too close. A terrier family will soon settle him, have the measure of his concerns and know how to keep him relaxed.
