Should I get a new pet gate?

So this year we’re adding a new addition to the family in the form of a dog, and i’ve been wondering whether we need to buy a new safety gate? We already have this one: http://www.prams.net/dreambaby-g-820 …which is great for now, but it’s also not the sturdiest contraption in the world and I’m aware that you can get gates specifically for pets, so what do you think? Will this do, or do I need something a little more pet specific… we’re thinking about a labrador as this is the breed I used to have as a kid, and we think it’ll deal well with a small child running around?
