Some updated photos of Boone take a few days ago. He’s coming up 2 years old end of Jan and just now starting to mature out 🙂

what do you do with him?November 23, 2011 at 1:04 pm #75138.dodger.MemberJust pet obedience with him, he’s just a well trained pet. Not quite up to Dodgers level but he’s from totally different breeding. Would like to do competitive obedience but not sure we could

[/quote]Yes you could, anyone can have a go just don’t take it too seriously – a rosette is not worth the hassle. Having said that it can be very rewarding in it’s self working WITH your dog and a GSD that does neat heelwork looks fab in the ring.
He is a stunning looking boy :-*ÂNovember 23, 2011 at 10:56 pm #75140.dodger.MemberThanks Lassie I can’t believe he used to be this size! :-*

He is just such a clown, has a great prance and lovely healwork but has a very sloppy sit and not the greatest attention span lol!
took 5 mins to free shape Dodger to retrieve the dumbell……. Uno was about 4 separate 10 min sessions. Took me a while to get used to changing how I train with him and even now i get wrong for slipping back into my Dodger style training lol
November 23, 2011 at 11:09 pm #75141*Lassie*MemberEvery dog is different, Tam was good in the ring but could cock a deaf ear at home, Willow didn’t see the point in the ring although she could have been good if she wanted but at home I can stop her in an instant with one command.
November 23, 2011 at 11:34 pm #75142.dodger.Membertrue, we are going to continue on with our training classes and see what happens. It’s my friend who runs the classes and she too does competitive obedience with her border terrier so we are thinking about entering him into a small comp middle of next year. Think it will be great fun and good bonding for us too 🙂
November 24, 2011 at 12:05 am #75143*Lassie*MemberGo for it :ok:

Hard but after getting some great shots it’s inspired me to do more 🙂
