Hi, I have an 11 month old Yorkie, am thinking about getting another one for him to play with. This is the first time I have ever had a small dog, used to have Airdales, and am finding them very different. Any thoughts on whether or not I should get another Yorkie.
I would suggest waiting a bit to allow your current dog to mature.
2 pups under 12 months make life difficult unless you can do one to one time with each, walk each sperately from time to time so that if one needs to go to the vet, the other doesnt pine.
Yorkshire Terrier generally lives an average of 12 to 15 years. So this breed has a longer life expectancy than other breeds. In the United States, domesticated canines generally for about 12.67 years, while they live a year lesser in the UK with 11.08 years.
