    another duh then…. ;D

well last night he had meat fat and a gnawing bone to occupy him while i fed others….this am he had balls with oil and a little meat in…to be honest was going to take it as slow as that for 5 days building up gradually to the chicken wings and meaty bones but i got to get his bowels working better as i dont want to risk the pressure on the anus like we had with sam ….so am maybe thinkg just go for it  :-\ but dont want to risk the runs either as he a bit sore around there…also he 11 and his internal organs will be a bit slow at converting nutrients…am upping everything pro and pre biotic wise to get his gut flora working double time….am thinking of a minced meat and biscuit meal tonight with sardines on and the rest of the gnawing bone he didnt get through last night while i feed the others…if no shits tomorrow will prob just go the whole hog so to speak and drop the carbs….but then i think just fly with it and dump the carbs now….he has had some veg this lunchtime as i only gave him half his norm of balls in bag at breccy….also have given him some metacam and i know it makes them hungry and thirsty…we just in a suck and see situation really….he has tried to poo today …he did a little bit ..it was normal once it out but took him a while….

val what you reckon…what would you do….

I would dump the carbs and add bran to get him moving if that did not move the mountain I would give him a small amount of paraffin
    Good Luck

we had a good night and there is huge improvement this morning with the hormonal boyo’s….no gumbly barking….they greeted each other nice with waggy tails …then ignored each other snouting about the house …then greeted again etc …that lasted about an hour then cubert offered the play bow and ted went to hump  ::) but cubert sustained the steady cue and ted came off when Mo told him to  🙂 they resting in seperate areas now so we will work at it again later anf hopefully by the end of the afternoon we can put them in the garden together and maybe add a resource like a toy…

lassie…i am using that zylkene you posted about a while ago…..it hard to know if it having any effect as such because i dont know if they would have been as calm this am without it of course but they certainly are much calmer than friday afternoon….and i havnt used a dap spray this morning either so think they may well have had an influence……it a pain in the bum to use…you have to open the capsules which is a fumbly carry on and sprinkle the powder on food…it gets stuck in the 2 halves of the capsule and you have to knock it out…manage to lose quite a bit out of each capsule on first try  ::)…they on 2 x 450 mg each once a day…at 90p a capsule they pricey….would be better if the powder was loose with a small measuring spoon…..i have emptied them all out and am now going to use a spice spoon…..cubert detests the taste for some reason…and it must have a strong scent…he can even smell it through greasy chicken and raw pork mince balls…. ::) ::) Hugh said he had had good reports of their use and is suggesting owners try them first before prescription calmers….so worth a try…thanks for that…. 🙂

i had an awful night….hot…covered in midge bites and nettle stings….itching like mad…up and down cold showers and aloe….finally went to sleep about 4…at 5 cubert woke me woofing at a large obnoxious crow that was in the tree in the front garden making a right racket…’crowsdontcount’ didnt work…’leaveit’ didnt work…..bloodywellforgetit’ didnt work…had to get up and shoo it off… ::)  fell back to sleep…Mo got up to let me rest…5mins later she bawling bevbevbev  :canadian: i get up thinking war had broken out…tedtoo had a huge tick. :vomit:  :vomit: right under the eye…of all the places….right fun and games getting him to be still while i got it out…while we doing it cubert had an inverted sneeze attack …his first so he panicked knocking over a cup of coffee and a full ashtray…..and mo had left pantry door open and ami was munching her way through the box of muesli biscuits that came with ted…falkor who still hadnt been out for a wee gave up asking and peed…cubert shot in and marked over it and then as i let ted go having dropped tick on floor and trying to find it before it crawled off..ted went and marked over cuberts marking of falkors pee…ami thought they all needed a telling off…shot in and waded through it….so in the space of 15 mins we got a flooded kitchen a walked through the house gallon of urine…..a spilled cup of cold coffee mixed with fag ash…an over fed clumber that is supposed to be on a diet…2 boys belting about to avoid being told off by ami who is also trying to protect the biscuits from them that she had dropped when she nicked the box…a sorry for himself falkor because he knows there is no chance of getting at one…and a loose tick…and me yelling at mo to get out the vac in the hope it gets hoovered up and mo yelling back she can’t cos there is liquid of one sort or another all over the house…and it wasnt yet 6am and i hadnt even had a coffee and a fag….

grey hairs aplenty already thanks lassie  😀
