I have never been happy with JWB since Pedigree took them over if the oil is to high it won’t be doing
Val
when did that happen.
oh defo give burns a try.
kendalMemberecho wouldn’t touch her puppy food when she came home. but as soon as i gave her a chicken wing she devoured it.
i also know a GSD who was weened on raw and a husky breeder who weened her puppy’s on it.
the GSD has thrived and is a big hansom boy. but yeah start off with chicken and you should fine. how are you getting on with the raw anyway.

what’s different about clapping?
its the same idea i assume, having never herd this object,i don’t know how loud it is.
a clap would do the same job, its a loud Sharp noise that distracts the dog’s attention. and as said before its cheaper and you don’t have to go looking for it if you don’t have it to hand when your dog starts barking.January 6, 2009 at 12:03 am in reply to: Another device for people to ruin their dogs with….. #110914

there are much better ways to interrupt behaviour than this – i clap … its cheaper !!
i agree with you their

kendalMemberbut dogs give each other negative responses to corrects behavior they don’t like. i would like to see it in action before i say it is a useless training aid.

Stunning scenery, bet it was cold on your walk
oh you wouldn’t believe, i dint know who’s stupid idea it was to stop and eat at the top, as it was so windy i took my gloves of for a second so i could get my flask out and my hands were numb. some of the others were handing out some Jack Daniels and some whiskey to warm everyone up
kendalMemberthe black Shepard is a friend of one of the walkers, her husband couldn’t make the walk so she brought a Friend from the stables. she did very well. but her owner was very tense at the start as she had never been round so many dogs off lead. but the dog settled in no bother.
hear are the directions we were given. it is practically on our door step
Meikle Bin Walk

Route to the start of the Meikle Bin walk.
From the training school head towards Croy Railway station all the way through Croy to a T junction, Turn right at the T junction down and over the River Kelvin by Auchinstarry Quarry all the way through 2 other roundabouts to Kilsyth Road End roundabout turn right at this roundabout on to the Main A803 towards Banknock / Denny / Stirling. Travel along this road for approx 0.4 miles and Turn Left up the Tak Me Doon Road .
Look athe Map
At the bottom right is a Large Blue Number 73 this is the Tak Me Doon road from Kilsyth going up and over the hill to the Carron Bridge Hotel. Turn Left at this hotel on the B 818 towards Fintry and the Carron Reservoir.
At the start of Carron Reservoir there is a main car park go past this still going towards Fintry to the farthest end of the reservoir to a Farm called Todholes. Just here on the left is a smaller car park and the main starting point.
From there we follow the blue dotted line which is a full track all the way along until the 2nd last Blue dot where we turn off the track to go up to the summit. This is where we will need a pair of boots as there is no real track but just a worn path with walkers.
At the top at 570m there is a Cairn. Then its real easy all the way back down the route we came up
