waltMemberHi, I will try and answer all these questions. She seemed to settle in from the day we brought her home, it was not until we had her for a few months before we noticed things change. They were not bad things but different. We do not know why she has started to look worried as things have not changed nor her routine. She is getting really wound up with the dog next door and tring to get to it through the fence. She is better out now as before she would get on her hind legs tring to get to other dogs but now she just keeps looking back to make sure that they are not coming up behind her.She is also play really hard with our goldy in the garden, to a state that we have to brake it up or our goldy runs inside to get away from her. There is nothing going on around the house , nothing new, just that she started to hide under the table.
Hope this is enough but I will tell more if needed.

waltMemberShe is a rescue and we had her from about 2 years old and we don’t have much info on her, only that she had been attacked as she has a few scares on her face, not that bad. She has started to hide under the table or a chair during the day and we try to encourge her to be more positive but she just seems to be worried. Not sure what it is. It started about 2 or 3 weeks ago but can’t seem to think what started this off. Other than that she is ok.

waltMemberHi, I think this is going to be my final update on Lady. Well, a big thank you to all who helped out in here, as I know that she will never get completely what ever was done to her in the past, but she has made real progress and although she does go off on one every now and again it really is a lot better. I think that she will improve as she gets older but she is definitely better.
I know that’s what this forum is all about, helping people out there and making us feel that we a not alone with these sort of problems.
Again Thank You so much.

waltMemberHi, we have finally bought a product called ‘Billy No Mates’. It says on the side that you have to allow 6 weeks for it to work. Does that mean that you have to put a scoop full in every meal? It also says something about start using it from the spring onwards. Do they not get anything like fleas and other nasties in the winter?
Walt ???
waltMemberJust to let you know how things are going. Lady is getting better and we think it will be only time and patients that does it. We will have to wait and see. We will never give up on her.

waltMemberHi, and here we go again. Lady is getting better on the lead, if only by a small amount. We feel that an improvement even if by just a small amount must be going in the right direction.
I must say a big thankyou to you all for the help with Lady, as it is nice to know that there are people out there with dogs that have had these sort of problems before. Even with at dog training there are ok but never really give an useful advise.
Happy Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year.

waltMemberWe have tried 2 ldiffent lots of flea drops and they are both the same, or should I say have the same affect
waltMemberSorry to go on, but I thought that you might be interested in how Lady is doing with the pulling on lead etc. Well she is still trying to pull but not quite as much and is still going off on one when she sees another dog, only when she is on a lead.
My wife will not give up on her, even though at the time she has a good mourn about her.
She really is a great dog and we love her soo much.
Walt 😀
waltMemberWe, will really try and keep with it. I am a bit worried about getting them out for walks at the moment, as the weather is really cold and I have a chest infection as well as M.E. and I am not doing too good. My wife is also not well with MS and although until this week or so we always take them out for walks each day we are finding it very hard at the moment. Hope they don’t mind too much
Sorry feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment. >:(
waltMember???, the update of Lady on her walking is, well not that good. My wife said that it started to work by turning around and walking back the way she came from etc, but she is starting to revert back to her old ways. I think that it is going to be a hard task ahead.
We will not give up on her.
She has her problems like the walking bit and our other dog Alpha a Goldey eats his Poo and we are trying to stop him. He eats it some times and not others. We go out ther most times to clear it up as soon as he does it, but sometimes he is too quick. Still all dogs like us, are not perfect.
Except Me of coarse.

waltMemberWell my wife is taking her out on her own, I walk one dog a different way to my wife so as not to put the other dog off. The dog she is training is starting to get it, but only a bit, still there is plenty of time.
She WILL beat the problem as my wife is very deturmend to get the best out of her dog, as she loves her dog so much.
I will let you know how she gets on in a few days time, as we think this will work, why not as it has worked for all those others who have tried it.
Walt
waltMemberI will take your advice on this and try it over the next few days or weeks and get back to you, as my wife who normally takes her has M.S. and going around in circles makes her fall over, so it might take a bit of time, as she likes to train her.
Walt
PS thanks for the help
waltMemberSorry, I must be thick here. How will the dog know that it is being punished by not taking it out for a walk? We have not been able to take her out once and a while and have not ever seen a difference in her, so I cannot see how this would work, but if you say that it will work we will give it a go.
Any more ideas on this .
Walt ???
waltMemberOur Goldey has had his fair share of problems as he had his crushurl (I know that’s how you don’t spell it but that as near as it gets) ligement done about a year ago and cherry eye when he was about 6 months old.
